The Opportunity

We were delighted to share the news recently that we have joined the global giant Visa which offers amazing opportunities ahead. Tink has raised hundreds of millions of euros in venture capital and in the past 18 months we have grown to over 450 people. During 2020 we made three strategic acquisitions which significantly strengthen our presence on the European market (Eurobits in Spain, Openwrks Aggregation in the UK and Instantor in Sweden) and in 2021 we acquired FinTecSystems, a leading aggregator in the DACH region. This year is going to be pivotal for Tink and all the ingredients are there for this to be a remarkable period for us. As a result of continued hyper growth, including closing contracts with key clients and the acquisition of Openwrks, we are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for the Netherlands region.

This hire will play a vital role in placing Tink firmly on the map as the number one open banking platform across Netherlands. As a crucial part of our sales team, you will help design, drive, and execute our NL sales and growth strategy. You will take ownership of a pipeline and drive large deals to conclusion meeting the financial plan. 

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and FinTech companies as well as successfully position Tink as the future of banking technology
  • Generate sales and create new business opportunities, while managing sales processes and together with central functions reach a final commercial agreement
  • Execute short-term strategy while maintaining a vision for long-term sustained success
  • Lead workshops and meetings with key customer stakeholders to better identify client needs and match them with Tink offering
  • Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the region and drive successful marketing projects
  • Represent Tink at conferences and other public speaking events

Required qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience successful sales experience, ideally selling SaaS/financial solutions 
  • Understanding of the digital/online banking industry
  • Previous experience of working in a high growth international technology company
  • A continuous track record of achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience of driving negotiations to a close, both individually and through colleagues and partners
  • Native/fluent in Dutch and English
  • Network in the Dutch banking and financial eco-system is a plus

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate long term business goals and strategies in to short term initiatives and KPIs
  • A solid interest and understanding of the business opportunities in a changing banking and financial ecosystem
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
  • Hands on mentality, able to balance long term strategic work with operations and execution
  • Entrepreneurial self starter, high-paced and ability get things done
  • Strong teamwork and people skills
  • Pragmatic thinker with strong interpersonal skills
