Tink in Spain

2021 is a pivotal year for Tink in Spain – all of the ingredients are there for this to be a remarkable year for us. As a result of continued hyper growth we are now looking to recruit a Sales Engineer to join our team. 

Our Madrid base is quickly expanding, and we want this hire to play a vital role in cementing Tink’s position as the number one Open Banking player in the Iberian market. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be vital for the team, for our customers and to ensure Tink’s success. 

A day in the life as a Sales Engineer at Tink

As a Sales Engineer, you will be our technical product expert and an important stakeholder within the Iberia organisation. Your day-to-day activities will include meeting with large corporate banks, as well as fintech unicorns and startups, to help them understand how they can integrate the Tink platform into their organisation. You will be involved in everything from the sales process when sourcing use cases with our customers, to helping customers onboard to our platform.

Since you will be in a customer-facing role, you will also be able to impact Tink’s overall delivery roadmap together with our developers and product owners. They will rely on you to source insights from our customers into our organisation. Even though you will act as the dedicated Sales Engineer for Spain and Portugal, you will also be part of a distributed team where we share ideas, insights, and collaborate together.


  • Day to day collaboration with external stakeholders. You will be responsible for educating large financial institutions, as well as fintech startups, on how Tink can create value for them
  • Being the source of Technical and Product expertise and advisory to clients, colleagues and prospects in the Spanish and Portuguese markets
  • Advise customers on best-practice solutions for their use cases
  • Support the entire sales process from project qualification, to RFI/RFP and technical workshops
  • Collaborate with local Business Development and Account Managers to tailor each sales cycle to prospective and existing customers
  • Collaborate with the geographically distributed Sales Engineering team, to share learnings, and constantly improve our way of working

What we look for

  • 3+ years work experience
  • BSc. or MSc. in STEM field
  • Either a tech background (such as developer, architect or other tech role), or product background with technical depth
  • Experience from fast-paced work environments, such as fintech, banking and/or startup is advantageous
  • Worked in a position with significant B2B customer interaction, preferably with a customizable and evolving product, requiring great understanding of the customer’s needs
  • Native/fluency in Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
