The Opportunity

Tink has raised over hundreds of millions of euros in venture capital and in the past 18 months we have grown to over 450 people. During 2020 we have made three strategic acquisitions which significantly strengthen our presence on the European market (Eurobits in Spain, Openwrks Aggregation in the UK and Instantor in Sweden) and in 2021 we acquired FinTecSystems, a leading aggregator in the DACH region. This year is going to be pivotal for Tink in the UK and all the ingredients are there for this to be a remarkable period for us. As a result of continued hyper growth, including closing contracts with key clients and the acquisition of Openwrks, we are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for the Banking vertical, as part of our team in the UK.

Our London office is rocketing, and we want this hire to play a vital role in placing Tink firmly on the map as the number one open banking platform for British financial institutions. So we need a real expert in banking, who understands the transformation financial institutions are going through.

You will manage a portfolio of Banking enterprise deals in the UK, while driving innovation with our partners to develop the financial services of the future. As a crucial part of our sales team, you will help design, drive, and execute our UK sales and growth strategy. You will take ownership of a pipeline and drive large deals to conclusion (and smooth transition to implementation / account management) meeting the financial plan. 

The Role

  • Build a Banking customer portfolio by driving sales activities in UK 
  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and FinTech companies
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential customers and turn them into Tink ambassadors
  • Lead workshops and meetings with key customers to identify customer needs and match them with Tink's offering
  • Plan and drive the sales process from initial contact all the way to signature
  • Attend and speak at conferences and events

Requirements:

  • A degree within Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering
  • 5+ years work experience
  • Selling deeply integrated solutions that support the programmatic delivery of financial services
  • Direct experience of selling to key stakeholders at the largest British banks / fintechs
  • Experience complex selling in finance, banking or tech environments
  • Preferably background from Business Development at a SaaS/tech company 
  • Experience in managing contract negotiations
  • Strong people skills and ability to adapt to different stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills, fluent in English
  • Personal attributes: entrepreneurial and gets things done, likes to find innovative, smart solutions to new problems, pragmatic and solution-oriented, strong collaborator
