About the role:
Data is central to Tink's decision-making process, and efficiently delivering data is critical to enable data-driven decision-making in all of our operations. As a Data Engineer, you will be building pipelines that provide high-quality data to our internal teams and external customers that enable high-velocity strategic decisions.
You will:
- Design, implement, and maintain streaming and batch pipelines
- Work with data scientists, product analysts, machine learning engineers to enable building insights, and all Tink employees that need data in their daily work
- Promote best practices and improving the quality of the internal data products
- Work with Cloud Data infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Must have:
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Solid software engineer: experienced in building and maintaining systems at scale
Nice to have:
- Experience in distributed compute engine such as Spark, Flink or Beam
- Experience working in languages such as Python, Scala or Java
- Experience working with AWS EMR, DataFlow, AWS Glue or similar tools
- Experience working with Google BigQuery or similar data warehouse/data lake systems
- Experience working with Apache Airflow, Luigi or similar
- Experience working with Kubernetes or similar technologies
- Experience working with Terraform or similar IAC technologies
- Experience promoting best practices by example and mentoring junior engineers
