Senior Business Development Manager Italy

How you'll challenge an industry:

As a result of continued high growth, we are now looking to recruit a Senior Business Manager to drive new business revenue in Italy. You will be one of the first persons on the ground, together with the Country Manager, with the target to fully establish Tink as the number one player on the Italian market.

You will be positioned as an expert in open banking and the transformation that banks and financial institution are going through. As Senior Business Development Manager Italy you have responsibility for Tink's growth in Italy - sourcing opportunities and driving revenue across multiple types of clients.

  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and FinTech companies as well as successfully position Tink as the future of banking technology
  • Generate sales and create new business opportunities, while managing sales processes and together with central functions reach a final commercial agreement
  • Execute short-term strategy while maintaining a vision for long-term sustained success
  • Lead workshops and meetings with key customer stakeholders to better identify client needs and match them with Tink offering
  • Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the region and drive successful marketing projects
  • Represent Tink at conferences and other public speaking events
  • Analyse results, Tink operations and customer needs and identify opportunities to improve technologies, systems, processes, and programs
  • Work closely with central operations; marketing, strategy, analytics, legal, engineering, finance in order to reach the market’s full potential

What we look for:

Required qualifications:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 7+ years experience successful experience from SaaS sales/business development/sales management/consulting
  • Understanding of the digital/online banking industry
  • Previous experience of working in a high growth international technology company
  • A continuous track record of achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience of driving negotiations to a close, both individually and through colleagues and partners
  • Native in Italian and native or fluent in English. 
  • Network in the Italian banking and financial eco-system is a plus

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate long term business goals and strategies in to short term initiatives and KPIs
  • A solid interest and understanding of the business opportunities in a changing banking and financial ecosystem
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
  • Hands on mentality, able to balance long term strategic work with operations and execution
  • Entrepreneurial self starter, high-paced and ability get things done
  • Strong teamwork and people skills
  • Pragmatic thinker with strong interpersonal skills
