Trust & Safety Manager
Tink was founded in 2012, and a decade later became part of Visa in 2022. Tink was created with the aim of changing the banking industry for the better. We have built Europe’s most robust open banking platform – with the broadest, deepest connectivity and powerful services that create value out of the financial data. We offer the tools that allow anyone – from big banks and fintechs to startups – to build the future of financial services across Europe.
Payments and Platforms is a growing team, and we’re committed to making Tink’s open banking platform the world’s leading account-to-account payment solution. And this mission means that we not only support the launch of new markets and next-generation open banking products, but we’re also responsible for making Tink the leader in developing strategies to reduce risk and fraud for a healthy payments ecosystem and positive experiences.
We’re looking for a Trust & Safety Manager who can help drive trust in open banking and make payments safer by defining Tink’s protection strategy, including ways to detect and prevent risks or malicious behaviour across both payers and payees as well as drive the adoption of open banking through trust and safety initiatives. This may include product work, such as detection models and payment dispute processes, as well as policy and client work, such as industry initiatives and engaging with leading banks and clients to mitigate risks.
With open banking taking the next steps in the UK and the EU, and emerging around the world, this is an opportunity to define the future of payments in the world’s largest markets.
You have experience across multiple jurisdictions and payment environments– ranging from legacy electronic payments to emerging payment technologies
An intrinsically curious and motivated individual with an interest in technology, financial services, open banking and open finance, and long-term strategic efforts
The ability to move between and balance both self-starting, to get things done on your own, and humility with a highly collaborative style, to bring others along with you
Superior interpersonal skills, with strong abilities in influencing, selling, and negotiating
Excellent business presentation skills
What we offer you
Establish close relationships with product management, development, operations, and commercialization teams to inform and create the overall Tink strategy for safer open banking payments with the optimal user experience
Partner with our policy team to create the narratives, roles, and responsibilities for concepts like liability and fraud across the open banking landscape for a new generation of account-to-account payments
Build relationships with our regulatory team and financial regulators to ensure that we’re meeting– and exceeding, where appropriate– external obligations for fraud prevention and control
Identify gaps within existing open banking payment frameworks, in comparison to legacy payment types and schemes, and work with internal teams to then create opportunities for Tink to improve its products and services
Create the plans for global excellence and increased adoption by consumers and merchants as Tink expands into new markets
Engage in payment investigation and remediation practices, setting up processes between banks, merchants, consumers, and internal operations teams
Regularly and engage with Tink and Visa leadership teams
What we look for
Thought leadership in the trust and safety management space with a product- and operations-minded outlook and a high level of empathy for payers and merchants
Professional experience in payment risk management, including building detection and resolution processes and systems and engagement with financial regulators
Strong internal and external stakeholder management, delivering updates across a range of audiences from executive suites through to day-to-day teams
Data-driven decision making, using metrics to discover opportunities and a base for business cases to drive decision making across all levels
Ability to thrive in fast-paced and evolving working environment
